Elyse's story

Elyse completed our supported internship in Worcestershire and did work experience with Tesco. She learnt lots of different tasks in the store like stock replenishment, security taggging and customer service. Her colleagues were super impressed with Elyse, describing her as "a pleasure to work with." So it was no wonder when Elyse successfully interviewed for a paid job in the Dotcom team, picking items from the store for delivery to customers who make orders online. Elyse even found time to pass her driving test while on the supported internship!

We encourage people to come and visit our premises before enrolling to see what it’s like and to get a sense of the journey from home. We also try to arrange meetings with employers where learners will do work experience before they start on the course so they can experience the journey to the workplace as well.
